Winter Solstice occurs each year  when the sun reaches its most southern point in the sky at local noon time. It is a day that many refer to as the shortest day of the year and/or the longest night of the year.

It lasts only a moment in time and this year in the northern hemisphere is will occur on December 22, 2011 at 12:30 am est.

The exciting news is that Winter Solstice will be ushering in some sweet energy and wouldn’t that be nice after the challenges of the last month?

On Winter Solstice whatever is planted or seeded in thought, intentions, goals, action, projects and plans will set the course for the new year head. This year it’s the much anticipated 2012.

The Winter Solstice is much like the new moon but on a yearly cycle rather then the new moon’s monthly cycle.

Wait there’s more!

This month the new moon is on Christmas Eve, December 24th which means that within three days there will be whole bunch of fresh sweet energy helping each and everyone of us to set in motion our intentions and desires for the upcoming year.

I always find that Christmas Eve has its own peaceful, quiet, beautiful energy about it so I am very excited about the week ahead.

It’s time to get even more clear on what you want and how you want to see 2012 unfold in your life.

I recently posted on face book an observation that most people don’t know what they want, they know what they think they can get and what they think they should want, but not really what they want.

Take the time to allow yourself to meditate, go deeply into yourself and be honest with yourself. What do you really want? Then clear away any limiting beliefs, patterns and behaviors which would prevent you from achieving your desires. Head into 2012 clear and ready for blessings!
