It’s time to acknowledge and appreciate those people who have influenced us over the past year.
Influencers come in all shapes and forms.
It might be the person at the check out who smiled at you on a day when everything seemed doom and gloom.
It might have been an entity like Twitter for connecting you to the right people at the right time.
Your greatest influencer may have been your friend, spouse, teacher, child or perhaps someone you don’t know but met in passing one day.
Leave a comment below acknowledging your greatest influencer for 2010. Make sure you tell us why and add your name.
Everyone who enters a comment will be entered into a random draw for a free 15 minute telephone channeled reading with The Tribunal. The draw will take place January 1st at 12 noon est.
Can’t wait to read your stories!

It’s hard to narrow it down to one because I feel, this year especially, I’ve been so greatly influenced by so many people. But I would have to say Twitter was the greatest influence this year because it allowed me to connect to some people who I would have no way of connecting with otherwise. And by connecting to them my experience is richer.
Laurie:
I agree with you 100%. Although I have been on twitter for a couple of years, this past year it came together for me in regards to connecting to awesome people. People has influenced me personally and professionally. I’ve met so many fabulous and interesting people. Like you.

My influence this year is actually two individuals!
My first influence would be Esther Bartkiw, because with her help and the tribunal’s they helped me where I lacked and helped me grow. Spiritually, mentally and my own being! Thank you.
My second influence is someone very dear to my heart, he came into my life unexpected and has since opened my eyes and puts a smile on my face everyday! Those smiles are my newest treasures!
Caroline:
Me and The Tribunal are grateful to have been part of your life this past year. By connecting with you I Esther have been blessed as well. And as for that special someone..wink..wink.. I know what you mean.

My Influence also came from two individuals. A couple who used to be my former neighbours. They are incredbily kind and giving and they ask for very little in return. Such a rare thing today, these things I hope to remember going into 2011.

It’s warming to the soul when people are kind with no expectations. I’m happy that you experienced such a gift.

It has been such a life changing year for me, but if I had to pick one person, I would have to say it’s my sister. She has always been a fly by the seat of your pants type of person. She helped me to break out of my shell, engage more with other people. It’s really because of her that I met my now husband. She really challenges me to break out of my shy nervous tendency, into the person that I want to be. She has overcome so much this year herself. Watching her struggle through a breakup, alone in Europe, to anxiety issues, has just helped to strengthen my resolve to meet challenges as well as keep my family close together. So, I’m now talking more, showing my love more, and giving more, all because she gave when she had the least amount of energy to do so.
Esther, thank you so much for this opportunity. I’m so happy I found you on Twitter!
Gillian:
Thank you for such a beautiful post. Your sister sounds very special and I am glad she is in your life to hold your hand and push you forward.
I too have 2 lovely sisters who have loved me in my journey.

Hmmm. I’d say it was Dr. Kim Arbus. I’d say she helped me “move” by “moving” me! Always gentle and uplifting, and so knowledgeable. She impressed me so much that I simply believed in her process. She also helped me raise the volume of my inner voice and to trust my gut in answering some very provocative questions. You know, sometimes it takes someone outside of your usual circle to help you believe again. God bless her.
Ida thank you for sharing. Yes you are right sometimes it is someone so unexpected who moves us forward. Blessings to you.

Well…this past year, I can’t say there has been just one person who has influenced me…there have been many. There are a few people who stand out this past year in my life…my two best friends, Pat and Jennifer. Jennifer has stood by my side for more than 20 years but this past year she taught me to live for myself and fight for the person I want to be. As for Pat…he is an angel sent by my mom…he has been a rock of strength and courage for me…I am grateful to have both of these wonderful people in my life. Another great influence has been Grace Cirocco, who has taught me how to think outside the box and know that its ok. She has been a becon of strength in my life not only this last year but my whole life. I wouldn’t be alive today if it wasn’t for her. My last greatest influence is Jennifer’s mom Noemi. She has been like a mom to me for as long as I can remember but especially after my own mother passed away. She guides me and helps me to be the person that I am meant to be. I love them all very much and am honoured to have such wonderful influencers in my life this past year and always.

It is hard to pin point the biggest influence, but if I had to choose, I would say myself. I have had to overcome my own personal obstacles and change my perspective on many things. Since doing this, opportunities have been pouring in.
Nice perspective. Thanks for Sharing Tiffany.

Although many have been passers by during 2010 only a few have left a footprint. I would have to say that my children have been my greatest influencers. They challenge my decisions daily and make me re-evaluate my thought process. Although I have to say that in the end, they tend to respect what I decide (even if they like or not), I have them well trained. Although in the end I think that they have a greater influence on me than I am likely to admit.
Maria Oliveira.
That’s beautiful Maria. I believe that children come into our lives to teach us.
