Over the next couple of days you may be hearing buzz about Friday, October 28th, 2011 being the end of the Mayan Calendar. There is a school of thought which believes this to be the date while those with other beliefs hold fast to the idea that the Mayan Calendar ends in December of 2012.

While I feel we can’t pinpoint the exact date and time of the ending of the Mayan Calendar, I do lean towards the October 28th date.

What is the Mayan Calendar? It is a system of calendars and almanacs used during the Mayan civilization in attempt by the people to record their history. The Mayans lived in the region between Mexico and South America.

What is the importance of the ending of the Mayan Calendar? Basically it signals the end of a 5125 year long cycle. Many people believe and suggest this will be marked by huge energy shifts across the globe, a rising of consciousness amongst humanity and great change upon the planet.

I’ll tell you what it doesn’t mean. It doesn’t mean that the world is going to end so please lay any of these types of fears and concerns aside.

It means that change is happening on a global and universal scale.

We’ve been noticing the effects of this Shift most strongly since 2010 and the build up, as we head towards its culmination, has been nothing short of amazing and exciting.

The energy change and movement has resulted in outdated government regimes crumbling, the illusion of money being exposed, the earth groaning in response, people opening up more then ever before to new ideas and new ways of thinking. People are taking back their power. World consciousness is rising.

The effects of this Shift into higher realms of being and consciousness are also being experienced individually. People are being purged of their limintations and great transformation is at hand. Individuals are opening up to their spirit and looking within to make change. Some are using the energy to assist in their inner work. Others are fighting the energy and creating more distress in their lives.

On October 28th I will be spending parts of the day in meditation. Praying for peace and well being across the planet and also focusing on my own shifts, particularly the letting go of that which no longer serves me. I will be setting in motion thoughts and visions of what I want to create in the future and how I can best serve mankind.

If you hear talk about the ending of the Mayan Calendar do not be afraid. Rejoice in the fact that change is happening and will continue to happen more and more rapidly over the next few years.

While change is good, keep in mind that often when change happens there is some discomfort during the transition. How you respond to shifts in your life will determine much. Ensure that you are operating from a foundation of strong positive core beliefs to help you through the transformation.

Above all else remember that you chose to come to planet earth at this specific time to be a part of this auspicious event.

~Love, Esther
