All summer I have been working on getting the hang of doing a particular ab exercise at the gym. On an incline bench I lay down with my head at the higher end, grab onto the bar with my hands, lift my legs in the air together and then move my legs down to the right and then down to the left.
One of the trainers at my gym suggested this would be an excellent exercise for me to do to further strengthen my core.
I consider myself to be fit with a strong core, but this particular move proved to be very challenging. My core wasn’t as strong as I had thought.
When I started incorporating this exercise into my routine I was barely able to do one or two repetitions.
Rather then give up and move to the bosu ball or a mat for abs I was patient with myself and sent loving messages to my body and muscles, especially my abs.
I continued all summer long practicing this move and now I am happy to report that my core is stronger and I am able to do this move with flow.
In celebration of my accomplishment my Soul had me reflect on how my summer challenge is reflective of all areas of life and active manifestation.
When you want something badly enough, don’t give up after one try. Keep persevering. Be patient. Practice, practice, practice. One day all of your efforts and concentration will come together and voila you will achieve what you set out to achieve.
Keep it light and fun and know that you will get there when everything is firing off in sequence mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
My Soul’s knowing was a great reminder for me to keep at my goals, intentions and dreams. Practice makes perfect and persistence pays off.
